Meeting The Needs Of Your Production
Every production is unique — much like every child who is cast.
Your production has specific needs, just as the children in your cast do. It is important to me to understand and support both, working closely with the production team and the departments the children interact with throughout the process.
This can be a considerable task, with so many moving parts involved in a production. However, it is essential. When the needs of both the production and the child cast are met, it helps everything run smoothly, ensures children are properly safeguarded, and allows them to play a valuable and positive part in the production.
So, how do we meet these needs? Communication is key.
The ability to calmly discuss individual requirements, listen to one another, solve problems, and plan effectively are all essential skills. Collaboration and understanding help create an environment where both the production and the children can thrive.
I believe these are some of the strengths I can bring to your production. While many of these skills can be developed over time, experience is invaluable — experience of being on set, working as part of a team, understanding legislation, and, most importantly, working with children.
