Anthony Docherty is a highly experienced Child Chaperone and Safeguarding Consultancy with a background in education. Combining nearly ten years of experience safeguarding children on set with a professional foundation in early years education, Anthony brings a compassionate, thorough, and knowledgeable approach to every production he supports with the aim of providing Productions with all the information they need during prep to help find the correct way to best support their principal actors.

He has worked on a wide range of productions including Shetland, Vigil, The Island, River City, Gifted, and The Primrose Railway Children, and is well-versed in working with high-profile productions, commercials, and smaller independent projects alike.

Qualifications:

• HNC in Childcare in Early Years Education

• NC in Children and Early Years Education

• NSPCC Child Protection Lead

• Fully PVG Certified (Disclosure Scotland)

Anthony’s background in education gives him a unique understanding of children’s developmental needs and how best to support them on set. He specialises in identifying risks, communicating effectively with production teams, and ensuring all legal and emotional welfare standards are met in accordance with the new 2025 Scottish Government Guidelines.
