This Week On Set

Every job is different what you are filming, where when and how involved your young cast are.

And saying that every child is different I would say no one day is the same.

But for all the jobs I’m involved in I want it to be always fun.

This is so important when working with children yes it is a work place but remember children don’t also understand or see it more as an experience or a dream to them something they maybe never felt they could achieve ,so it’s vital we provide a positive environment for them and provide opportunities to relax and enjoy themselves on set and off. We want them to want more and keep their dreams alive.

I worked on a job this week which had activities and games set up in the green room and snack bags ready for each of the children.

Further to this all the children were made to feel involved and treated with respect and care throughout the shoot.

It the small steps we take to include children and take an approach from their view point that can make a big difference to their experience. We often need to think differently with children and imagine what they would like!
