How To Keep Busy When You Are Not On Set
Not every week I’m on set there’s only so much work out there.
During this time how do I spend it 🧐
-Catching up with people going for walks & coffee’s not always talking about work!
-Reading often online articles linked to safeguarding best practices people’s experiences, online journals about child development studies of children learning, currently looking into environments best for Neurodivergent children to develop.
-Reflect and journal writing about past jobs what worked well how can improve, planning up coming work how I can support specific children and productions I am working with. Make lists and plans. Work on developing training.
-Gym time me time it’s important that I look after my mental wellbeing not just the young actors I work with.
-Spend time with Thea, do the school drop off and pick up and buy endless snacks, find new experiences for her she starts boxing next week.
It’s important to be comfortable when your not on set be able to chill enjoy the downtime you can get caught in spiral in your mind which can be exhausting and have a negative impacted on yourself. This is sometimes easier said than done but try to keep a routine and if you get caught in a cycle trying getting outside to break it.
